my blogger has been driving me mad all day!!! not letting me upload pics so really hoping to squeeeeeze these in.
my first lo is for the kaisercraft saturday sketch #3. there is lots of fussy cutting here but looking at it in this pic doesnt show the layout off at all.... crazy but it is really dimensional irl.
and.... Scrap the Girls. My first time doing this challenge. its all about monochromatic. pretty sure i got it right. to me monochromatic is one colour but using the various tones of that colour? hope its right anyways. hehe. its of my lil princess. she is such a doll n in this pic she is just learning to chat away. :)

White With One - "Baddie"
Hey!
well thought i would have a scrap today and i came across the White With One challenge. Now I havent had a go at this for ages... and the criteria seemed to match with what I was thinking and PERFECT for lil boys layouts. Nice and bright! the criteria is WHITE + LIME + BUTTONS
ok i hope i havent gone astray... have heaps of lime in it! loved doing this challenge cause i got to use up all my odds & ends papers and find all the lime i could. I love banners atm and made up this ultra cool "button" banner with lil dollies my auntie made and oh a Whimsy button too.
the layout is of my lil boys first 'baddie' - he has never really hurt himself and he fell over right before bed n bite his lip. it looked so so sore and was swallen for a few days. ouch!
(the colours in the pic does not do this LO much justice... not bright enough but cant get it right GR!, the close up is a lil better but looks a bit yellow?? must must work on my photography skills)

Icecream YUM!
well i have never done a Scrap the Boys challenge and I thought I would join in.
I took this fab photo of my lil boy eating his FAVE!! Bubblegum Icecream at Simmo's in Dunsborough. Now this layout is not traditional 'boy' looking, its very soft and girly.... but think i can get away with it because of the pink bubblegum icecream and who says flowers are only for girls?? hehe
here it is:
"icecream yum"
I have used the scrapcake papers and prima flowers:

OUAS - January 1st Challenge
well it is a beautiful day here in Perth today! n I have started a lil project, I am making some wall art on a canvas. Its a pretty big canvas 30in x 48in - so pretty big i guess. Havent done much 'art' stuff for years and years. Its a good feeling getting out my easel and messing up a bit. Once finished and if i like the end result will post up here. Have a concept in mind so hoping it turns out. Fingers crossed.
Dont forget about my blog giveaway here. All you have to do is become one of my followers and leave a comment here. :) :)
Onto my layout for the OUAS challenge. Loved the prompt and sketch - (AS ALWAYS). Funny thing is a have the ABSOLUTE PERFECT photo to scrap and do some journaling for. this photo has been lingering on my desk for a while now..... waiting waiting waiting for the opportune time.
The Story:
Back in 2002 I was featured on the 3rd Page of The West Australian i.e. the 2nd page into the newspaper (most major newspaper in Perth) after some partying on new years eve. The news story was called "The Morning After" and the caption under the photo was "Two New Years revellers make their way home as early risers head for a swim at Cottesloe Beach". Now I wouldnt call myself a reveller as I didnt get up to that much trouble? haha At the time I was wondering what this guy taking photos was doing so early in the morning at the beach??? then someone at work asked "is that you in the paper"???? i am like WHAT!!!! and it was. crazy crazy. Will never forget that new years. Nice and young and had such good fun!
My journaling goes over the back too... just a few stories on the other side. and it is hidden behind the photo where i can also store the newspaper clipping.
Thanks Nadia for yet another fab challenge!!!!!!!
Also if you are in Perth I am teaching some Background Secrets at Made With Memories on Friday 27th Jan 6 to 9pm. Please come along and learn some of my techniques. We will create 3 backgrounds using the MME Kraft Funday range. Its lots of fun and I love teaching and meeting all you ladies! :)

Glitz!!!!!
good morning!
what a busy day i have on, so i thought i would quickly log in and share this layout I have done for the Glitz challenge. I LOVE Glitz products and I think i nearly brought all the Vintage Blue collection. Love the beach-yness to it although the prompt screams winter I thought i would go with the opposite "sun" as we have no snow here at this time of the year, to keep with the prompt i concentrated on bringing out the white and have a cute lil banner there too.... so layout is of - the Sunset at Geographe Bay whilst we were on holiday. The boys were fishing and Mum n Dad were playing with Nathan in the sand and there I was with my camera to capture it. Geographe Bay is just beautiful.... its about 2hrs drive south from Perth (Western Australia)with blue blue water. Just beautiful.
I have another layout to share vveerrry soon, forgot to photo the hidden journaling (you prob know what this challenge is by now... OUAS) so had to take a few more pics. So stay tuned..... funny I have used Glitz for this layout too!! but the Beautiful Dreamer range which I must by more of cause I'm out!

KIU January challenge.....
Well, this is what happens after a couple of glasses of red wine! ;)
So I go to my desk and I had the KIU challenge printed out and this photo had been on my pile to scrap for ages so thought, why not??? these are not my everyday colours but once started I kinda got into it (dont know if it was the wine helping??)
I love MME Kraft Funday range (actually teaching a class using it at Made With Memories in Rockingham WA), it would be my fav atm..... so I spray some lime glimmermist... added a red butterfly and made this ultracool banner with some handmade mini doilies (seen this idea on a few blogs now) a few tags, doodling and voila.... very simple for me and lots of white space which is new too me. Not sure of the end result.... but will keep with simple.

my GIVEAWAY not 1 but 4!!!
just thought I would do a little bit of a giveaway.
my new years eve was spent tiding my scrap room and making way for more storage (will post photos soon) and i realised that i have too much stuff (well, really is this so??), so i thought i would give some to you lovely scrappy ladies out there.
I have made up some bundles... i would call them my "texture bundles".
I have included little bits of texture that i use on most layouts i.e. 7gypsies tissue paper, dress patterns, corrugated card, netting etc and I have also included vintage ribbons and lace, now these are real vintage, I was given a pile of 'old' sewing bits and pieces from an elderly lady who has now moved into a retirement home and could not take everything with her, so i ended up with her collection of ribbons, lace, old cotton reels, a janome sewing machine prob circa 1970/60's (in perfect working order) and all sorts of goodies, so thought i would pass some on. They are just divine. So if you love vintage this is the giveaway for you!!
Once I made these packs up I was looking at them over on the other desk in my scrap room and was busting to use one as they looked so cute and coordinate really well. So i hope you will get some good use out of them.
