i have got the best news to share with everyone!!!! see the annoucement here.....
i am absolutlety so so so thrilled to be chosen to be part of the Get Picky Design Team! I can not wait to start my term in April!!!! i love get picky's challenges so it is an honour to be on their design team.
i would also like to say a BIG congrats to all the other lovely girls who i will be designing alongside.

Purple Pumpkin..... yeoowww!

hey all - yes have been missing in action for a lil bit! been away camping and so far this week i am feeling a lil sick.... dont really feel like moving away from the couch! lazy, i know!! but need to rest!!

not sure who has seen the fab news over at purple pumpkin?? i have made the Guest Design Team! yay! it is great news n cant wait for my month to come!!! yay yay yay. it must have been such a tough decision for sam n her ma!

The Studio Challenge - frames

hey!!! well it has be a few hot hot hot days over here in perth! i normally dont feel the heat but this week it has got to me. when i walk outside i start to drip n just need to get back inside to the air con! so really perfect weather to stay indoors n scrap!
thought i would try the studio challenge... all new to this site. you had to create a layout using frames.
so here is it....

Look Up
i have used: Echo Park For the Record papers & stickers, prima flowers, hessian, corrugated cardboard, paint, purple pumkin flower, dymo labeller, thickers, hambly transparency and LOTS of Tim Holtz distress ink in Walnut stain.

So i have framed my pics in photoshop, I also used a frame for the date and under that is a bigger frame for the embellie cluster, also framed my lil white flower on the left.

Get Picky Challenge #5 Sketch

hey all
now i love the Get Picky challenges!!!!
i have been trying to do a few layouts lately and they seem to never come together so i would pack up my stuff then start again.... in the end i thought to myself "now anita! be true to yourself!!!" so i got out some papers i had just brought at MWM..... the new 7gypsies range Crazy Love and boy oh boy my layout just came together sooooooo easily and I love the end result! its very me. if any of u ladies know what to call my scrappin style could u let me know cause i have noooo idea how to explain it!

so here it is

- its a pic of my baby on the trampoline at my aunties he is always so cautious when trying something new and always looks for reassurance.
i have used: 7gypsies crazy love papers, stickers and tapes, maya road envelope, prima flower, kaiser flower, heidi swapp alphas, hessian, hambly transparency, twine, lots n lots of tim holtz distress ink, dress patter, crafty notions mist, texture paste and paint.

as i type this i am watching the devestation on the news about the earthquake in christchurch. i hope they can rescue as many people as possible. it is so sad to see people in such a dire need. it looks as though a lot of people have been injured. we should be so grateful for all the emergency services and others who will work around the clock to help all these people.

Let's Get Shabby #20 Challenge- Wedding

Hey all
lucky I seen a reminder on the LGS site today - didnt realise this was due today.... it was all finished so all i had to do was take some pics!!!

this is my first time giving this challenge site a go. i love shabby type of things so i thought that I would create a mini wedding albulm as i never actually got my wedding photos put into an albulm. all i got from the photographer was the proofs and ALL the negatives and digital pics so thought it was about time i made up a wedding albulm nearly 7 years later!! it really was the perfect opportunity and i love what i have created. it was hard to pick what photos i wanted to include!

I made the calico pages myself and misted/masked each one using Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist. I have used Making Memories Jet'Adore collection papers - these papers are absolutely lovely!!!!

So here it is.... hope you like (as you will see it is photographed in my oragano and chives!! hehe)
