well i havent posted for agggges!! thats cause i am doing a guest design spot at Just Scrapbooking n have been working on 4 singles, n 2 doubles. have finished them all now n might share these soon. They gave me the lovely Seaside collection from Kaiser n OUt n About by WRMK.....

Anyways thought I would do a page for the new challenge site Show Us Your Stuff (SUYS). The #2 challenge is about:
DECEMBER CHALLENGE: REFLECTIONS
I want you to do a layout reflecting on 2010. Did you achieve any goals?, What were the highs or lows?, Did one moment stand out?, or did you have any lifechanging moments?

The best thing to happen to me in 2010 was my first baby being born. He has filled my life with soooo much happiness n r so grateful for this. He truely is a precious gift.

I have used Websters Pages - Wonderfall papers, Bazzill, Prima flowers, Florish with a bling, doilies, pink paislee artisian elements, sassafras n OA alphas, prima masks n stamp, tattered angels glimmermist n chalkboard mist, n heaps of tim holtz distress ink in old paper n frayed burlap, oh yeh n couture creation gemstones
Handmade Item = My spiral flowers!! inked n then sprayed with chalkboard hot chocolate mist!
wow lots of things used. man - this page is covered in so much mists it literally shimmers.... so lovely!! hehe

yay! sooo happy to be featured as a Honorable Mention in Get Picky's sketch challenge #2!!! what a lovely surprise.

the LO came together nice n easy for me too, its what i really love to create, lotsa inking, distressing n a modern shabby sorta look. n i used up the leftovers of the crate paper restoration line i had remaining - even better!!

wow thanks to the girls at get picky for seeing something in my lo. cant wait to start the inspiration challenge!!

on a not so brighter note...... my lil baby has been up since midnight screaming!! poor lil fella, think hes teething tooth no. 9 at 9months!-- he had to sleep on my belly last night with a lot of screaming outbreaks every hour!! hmmm so feel like a zombie. lets hope today goes ok n can rest up a lil (well i mean do lotsa scrappin!!! hehe fun fun!!)

Get Picky INSPIRATION challenge

Wow love Get Picky!!!! the inspiration challenge was awesome!!! hmmm all those sweets...... YumYUM

I took my inspiration for my page from the lovely colours.... had to use a rainbow of colours, and thought I would use Sweet somewhere in my title and of course HAD to have a banner!! There were lots of different sweets so I thought lots must be going on in my layout!! haha.

Its not normally my style but hey... i had sooo much fun putting it together!

The pic is of my lil boy eating his fav...... chocolate custard!!! he cant get enough of it! hehe

Stuck?! 1st November Sketch challenge

well i have been a way bit slack lately.... scrapping has been going through my mind but just needed to get down n find time to scrap.

I thought I would use the Stuck 1st Nov sketch to give me some inspiration. I have had these little quick snaps for ages. I love using pics which show the little moments in nathans life.

Get Picky challenge

hi all!! haven't posted much lately... have been busy making a mini albulm for my mum (which I still need to photograph n put up!), then made an off the page project, just a mirror i decorated with pretty prima products.... and then i thought i would try out this new challenge site Get Picky.

here are a few more lo's.... all boy pages, i really struggle with them, i really love working with flowers and not stars n buttons etc... haha

no limits - this one i have used a few scraps, lily bee and echo park, the background is glimmermist mixed with the new chalkboard i smudged them together when wet to give paint effect.

soft landing - this is of my little boy, pics of him trying to sit up... i put all cushions around him so if he fell he didnt hurt himself. i have used bella blvd for this lo.

favourtie auntie - i have used crate papers restoration papers for this lo.

gems - love the colours on this one, have used lilybee papers n used tissue paper, the flower is teresa collins blingage range... i have added tulle in between the layers to give it a bit more boost.

always love - this is of me n hubby on our wedding day. have used websters pages n core-dinations for this page.

hey ya all... i have been so slack lately havent posted any of my work so here is a mega post. Will try n keep the chit chat down to minimum.

Just Me - have done the LO for The Colour Room #23

Speedy Gonzales - I really love this new paper range from My Minds Eye, Alphabet Soup.... very good for lil kiddies

U & Me - I have used a dress pattern for the background and used a Glue Stick to stick it down so it is all crinkled up. I love the new Prima vine n flowers!

Fly - this i have done for Anna's Craft Cupboard sketch for Sept. I luv these bright papers.... ummmm they are Bella Blvd.

Goodbye Sister - this is a photo my mum gave me to scrap. I am eventually going to do up a mini album for her photos. Used a prima vine here too.

Albany - this is of our 1st holiday together with little Nathan in Albany.... i really struggle with Double LO's... so hard. I have used Cosmo Cricket papers.


Please let me know if u want to know other products n techniques I used..... i have only briefly put the details here. Didn't want to bore u with too much!! haha

what a week!!

What a week!! seem to have been scrappin' all week! yay! finally getting some time to do it, must be the rain! Came down with a bit of a head cold, but it seems to have cleared up now just in time for the weekend!
I feel like I need to buy heaps more products for my stash so keeping myself busy will stop me from going to the shops - actually have been verrry tempted to put in a rather large order from Anna's I really love all the Prima she has! my fav!

Here is another LO, Thanks to Nic Pomeroy I used her layout to give me some much needed inspiration....
num num num I find it really hard to do boy layouts! hopefully I will get better as time goes by, have only been scrappin' for about 7 months now!

Scrap the Boys #1 August Challenge

I have just done this LO for the Scrap the Boys August challenge. The challenge is "to scrap a layout using flowers …to make it a little easier I will allow this one to be of you and your boy/s… Or if you can’t come at flowers …scrap about their feminine sides… or if you are feeling very clever… use both criteria"

hey ya all!!
man, it seems like forever since i last did a blog post ..... well actually it has!
i didn't really do much scrappin in July, seemed to be sooo disorganised with everything that i couldn't find the right time n inspiration i needed.
anyways here are a few i have done.....

Lil young ladies: this is a picture of my mum n sisters taken back in 1963
I have used - My minds eye, K&Co & collections papers, Pink Paislee journal tags (thanks chloe found it in the blog candy u sent me!), prima flowers, florish, kaiser pearls, various brads, 7 gypsies stickers, maya road envelope, and an embroided doily, kaiser chipboard, websters storytellers, tim holtz distress ink, versa ink, glimmermist.


9 weeks old - my little son Nathan, using his voice...... he is now 6 months old. time goes sooo fast!
I have used - bazzill, the girls paperie papers & die cuts, lillybee buttons, bella brads, buttons, collection chipboatrd, twine, staples, 7 gypsies stickers, and october afternoon alphas.


Lesson One - this was such a funny day, we went shopping up to Garden City. The boys were a crack up. They are going to be such good mates when they get older. Little harrison was teching nathan some life lessons. They had everyone stopping to say hello.
I have used - Sassafras & lillybee papers, corrugrated card, bella journal tag, 7 gypsies stickers, buttons, brads, string, lilly bee buttons, b-studio chipboard, playing card and forever in time alphas.


I still have quite a few more to post, i need to get my sewing machine out to finish a couple off and need to get some new thickers........ saying that i better get off to the shop before it closes!!

1,2,3 Challenge LO

What a winters day!! I really don't like winter but I do enjoy listening to the wind and the rain. Wish I had an open fire to keep nice and warm. Good weather for watching movies though, and scrapbooking!!

Anyways here is my LO for the July 123 Challenge. Technique is Grunge, Word - Passion, and colour red. http://www.ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/123challenge/

I have used: Kaisercraft & Sassafras papers, Hambly screen print, hesin, al foil, MLS & Heidi Swapp alphas, playing card, kaiser rubons, portacraft sticker, 7 gypsies stickers, brads, staples, kaiser ink and chalks, black acrylic paint (used a mini sprayer to mist), red nail polish.

Its a but of a different style LO to what I am used to but had a great time using the paint.

Anyways, I have a kinda busy weeek, I am looking forward to Wednesday - scrappin' at a friends, i just really hope my creative juices will be flowing (they aren't atm!!).

This one is called "Oi! Don't Squint". I did this for the Kraft It Up challenge for June. It was a minimalist challenge. http://kraftitup.blogspot.com/

I have used Kraft!, sassafras paper, Websters storytellers, Hambly transparency, Jenni Bolin bingo card, button, twine, making memories ticket, staples, glimmermist, and a white paper bag that you get all your scrap papers in from the shop.

I haven't posted anything for a while but here is a page i finished last night for the new June 123 Challenge. Here is the link http://www.ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/123challenge/

The criteria of the challenge were- Paint smear background, Word - New (it is in my journalling), Colour - white.

I really enjoyed doing this page..... i call it my white-on-white page apart from the blue background.... but all other components are white based.

I haven't used any PP either.... I was so surprised when I was writing my products used list.......

another week nearly gone...!

hi all!!
wow another week has nearly past!! where have the last 5 months gone???!! can't believe time has flown by so quickly. i thought time might crawl by being a SAHM but it is def the opposite... ekk -

i am finally getting into the swing of things though, looking after nathan, cleaning (ha ha), shopping... and of course finding my feet with SCRAPPIN'!! i never knew there was such an online community until i started searching... gotta luv it!

anyways finished this LO the other day for Anna's Craft Cupboard Sketch Challenge for June. It's a pic i have been meaning to scrap for some time now, it was taken at my sisters wedding in Dec 04 of me n my hubby at Redcliffe on the Murry in Ravenswood.

I have used:
Kaisercraft LeChataue collection papers, diecut, rubon, wood florish & alphas, Prima flower, Vivaldi blossoms, AdornIt mini letters,Dusty Attic chipboard, tim holtz crackle paint, versa ink, glossy accents, ribbon, leaves, book page.

anyways must go n start folding the washing... yay.... great fun!!!

I captured this photo just after Nathan was born - i can't believe how well it turned out!

I have used: Cardstock Bazzill shimmer, Paper Amy Butler Lotus faded china (absolutely loved using this paper!!)Embellishments Kaiser Rhinestones (i had to make my own florish as i could not find one in ice blue), hand drawn florish in silver pen,Pink Paislee rubons, cut out some BG paper to make flower up, BG stickers; Alphas Heidi Swapp, Adorn It! i wrote over the letters in silver pen, metallic blue ribbing. Other versa ink, i inked all edges and distressed most of them.

This next one I completed for the May sketch at Scrapbook Savvy.

This photo is a pic of me n Nathan just after he was born (do u see a theme in my scrappin?? haha)

I have used - Cardstock Bazzill, Paper BG Wassail & Pink Paislee fascinating, book page, Embellishments Ribbon, brads, heisen, dollie, lace, Pink Paislee press ons, Portacraft chipboard Alphas Websters Pages Storytellers Other Versa ink

Once again, edges are heavily inked on this pages and distressed. I hand cut the die-cut. I have also cut out the pattern from the paper to make a frame around the photo.

Anyways going to go and enjoy my Sunday! might do some more scrappin or maybe enjoy the sunshine while it is here!!

I have used a photo of my Sweet Baby Nathan. I luv him to bits!

Card: Bazzill Paper: Making Memories Pitter Patter range Alphas: Heidi Swapp, Adorn It mini letters Embellishments: Making Memories Felts and sticker, Ribbon Other: Machine Stitching with brown cotton, Versa ink

All the edges apart from the cardstock are inked and have rounded most corners to keep it soft.

Ok - here it goes!!

Hi ya all!

I am absolutely new to blogging - so please bear with me!

I thought I would create a blog to showcase some of my scrapbooking pages because I love looking at everyone elses ideas ~~~

I am only new to scrapbooking, only really started at end of Jan 2010. I am loving experimenting with all the fabulous products!

This is the 2nd page I completed. It is of my lil sister n her husband. The colours of the paper really highlight her down to a T - the musky pink.... gotta luv it,

Not sure how to rotate this pic... will work it out soon - also still learning the best way to photo my LO's will get there eventually..... photography is the weak part of my scrapbooking....

With this page I didn't want to overdo it. If I was to describe her style, it would be simple n smart n beautiful.

I found out the other day 15th May I won the Challenge Pack at my local scrap shop Just Scrapbooking! YAY!!! could not believe it - have already spent my winnings (doesnt take long...). I will post a pic of it soon. The shop has rights to it for a certain amount of time (I hope not too long, because I forgot to photograph it myself first!).

This page is of my mum n my gorgeous son nathan. It is my first time at using the colour sprays, this one is an antique gold colour. I love doing the distressed look, so there are a lot of 'ruffed up' edges. I am one to take it right to the edge and i am not too scared to take it all the way (if u know what i mean?).

Anyways PLEASE follow my blog!! would love heaps of followers (in a good way of course - hehe).

I am hoping in participating in many of the online monthly challenges to get my work out there. I love designing with anything...... once won a State Art Competition for Amnesty International for my art n design concept.
